Nine months ago I was an extremely successful Estate Agent with Remax (Top Agent 4 years running).
But that was all to change after My Dream,
“I was on GMTV with Lorraine Kelly, she turns to the cameras, introduces me and says meet Bernadette Murphy, she’s an Estate Agent and this is her first venture in raising money for charity. Incredibly she has raised £25,000 for Breast Cancer awareness. The cameras then go to outside this shop in Hamilton – Signage Shocking Pink with Breast Cancer pink ribbon and all along Cadzow Street as far as the eye can see are thousands of Bras all joined together.
I now have to take you to how all this came into being. (Remember this is still all my dream)
I put an ad in the local paper, ‘WANTED, I need your help £5 Donation, an old BRA, Attach Breast Cancer Pink Ribbon in Memory of ________:
‘ Anyway, when I woke up and realised that this was all a dream I was so very disappointed. The next day I got in contact with Rowan Main, Chief Community Fundraiser for Cancer Research U.K Scotland. We met for coffee – she was very excited about this, and allowed me to use the Pink Ribbon on my shop signage – I have told her that I will donate 10% of all my profits to Breast Cancer.
My dream is to now raise £100,000 this year. On the 6th of May 2007 Cancer Research had a day at Hamilton Race Course, We were all there fund raising.Alex McLeish, Scotland manager came to my opening 23rd February to show his support for my fund raising for Breast Cancer, as did 7 newspapers including:
